On 15 March 2018, the Grand Opening of the new Hyatt Place Hotel in Frankfurt was celebrated with a fabulous party. The 312 room hotel is the first of this brand in Germany and is located in the heart of the Gateway Gardens development area immediately next to the light rail station currently under construction and the Quartierspark. From the terminals of Frankfurt Airport and the Squaire, the hotel can be reached on foot, by shuttle bus and – as from the end of 2019 – also by light rail. Thanks to its connection to the Frankfurter Kreuz motorway junction, it is also easily reached by car.
The striking new build has a total area of about 19,000 m² and accommodates 312 guest rooms, ca. 110 indoor parking spaces, a restaurant and a bar, two shops, a 24h gym and five flexible meeting and conference rooms with daylighting that can seat up to 136 people. A Gallery Market in the open lobby offers take-away food around the clock. The Zoom Glocal Dining restaurant serves freshly prepared dishes in a combination of regional and international ingredients. As from December 2019, the hotel will have direct access to the Gateway Gardens light rail station, providing ideal connections to both the Frankfurt city centre and the airport.
Construction of the building started in 2016 and was realized for Feuring Gruppe by a joint venture of Bilfinger Hochbau GmbH (now Implenia), Bilfinger Wolfferts (now Apleona) and Karl Gemünden GmbH. For this quality turn-key project, IQ Real Estate GmbH provided controlling services for the banking consortium of DG Hyp and Volksbank Alzey and closely followed and reported on the technical and economic development of the project. Despite an ambitious time schedule, it was possible to finish the project on time and on budget.
