Since the beginning of this year, Handelsblatt Media Group has successively moved into its new headquarters called “La Tête” in the Le Quartier Central quarter. The office building was developed by Aurelis Real Estate GmbH, and the design was created by the Cologne architecture firm msm. IQ Real Estate GmbH has been acting as project manager since 2014. The remaining areas not occupied by Handelsblatt Media Group will receive their finishing touches by mid-2018.

IQ Real Estate GmbH has been engaged by INTERBODEN to provide project management services for the project “The Cradle”. At MIPIM 2018, this project was honoured by The Architectural Review with a Future Project Award in the Office category. The innovative cradle to cradle approach of the hybrid timber construction of the building designed by HPP Architekten will be an exciting challenge for all parties involved.

IQ Real Estate GmbH has taken over the project management for the Schlösser Areal project in Düsseldorf-Derendorf. The three housing cooperatives BWB, DWG and WOGEDO intend to jointly realize a residential quarter comprising three structures (one oblong block with two wings, two separate buildings) with four to five regular storeys plus penthouse storey and about 130 capped-rent dwelling units. The architectural competition carried out in the middle of 2017 was won by the design of Tor 5 Architekten. Due to the increased noise level caused by the street and railway traffic, special sound insulation will be installed. Implementation of the project is planned for 2019 to 2021.

Following the improvement of the soil, earthwork for the MARTOR project started officially at the end of 2017. By the end of 2018, MARTOR, a Solingen-based manufacturer of safety knives, will comprehensively remodel its existing property and add a new production and administration building with a gross floor area (BGF) of approx. 7,500 m². IQ Real Estate GmbH has been providing expert advice on the planning since late 2016 and is now acting as project manager.
